Companies play an important role in the transition towards a circular economy. Embedding circular economy is relatively new for most companies and professionals. This transition requires the people working in companies to do things differently. Different from what they were used to and were trained for.
The Sustainability University started this project to study the specific competencies among sustainability professionals, to successfully realize the circular economy within their companies. Our research show that “system thinking”, “foresight thinking” and “entrepreneurship” is mentioned as the most important competencies for embedding circular economy.
This project is supported by The Goldschmeding Foundation.
Is your business or department interested in a young talent (trainee) with the right sustainability skills and mindset? Are you a young talent interested in a sustainable job and/or job-related experience? The impact talent program works together with talents and companies to accelerate the transition to sustainable business.
We organize peer to peer learning or “circular economy matching”. With a small group of about 5 CSR professionals you visit a company that is successful in implementing circular economy. You can share your case and be inspired. Are you interested? Let us know!
