Sustainability.
Who hasn’t heard of this word by now. Now, unlike a few generations ago, sustainability is a huge buzz word and the thought behind many actions. You can see it being woven into the fabric of society through business and education. Companies with CSR strategies are growing. Our Universities have beta and science studies dedicated to the health of our planet. Wonderful achievements are being made.
But where is the training and courses for future business leaders on how to create and run a business with sustainability at its core? What about economists? Where do they learn to examine the economy in a new way that includes the balance sheet of the planet?
While we have made strides in terms of sustainability in some areas we are lacking in others.
That is why we have created the CSR Traineeship, to allow recent graduates to get hands on training from experienced CSR professionals to give them the jump start they need for not only success in their career but the advancement of the CSR profession itself.
During this traineeship selected applicants showing a potential to learn in the areas of the competencies of a CSR manager according to the book “MVO doe je ZO” will receive training to reach their full potential as a CSR professional.
This traineeship is not only for the participants of individual trainees but also for companies as well! Companies that work in CSR now have the opportunity to gain in house support from new comers to the field through participating in the CSR Traineeship.
The two year program allows companies to participate in a variety of capacities that best fits their commitment capacity.
As a business and/or individual you can:
- give a training or a guest lecture
- provide a day tour of your company or facilities combined with and in house lecture
- Provide a case
- Mentor
- Host a trainee at your company
- Other (we are open to your suggestions and ideas!)
Through these varying commitments organization can not only further the future career of young professionals participating in the program but also advance the state of the CSR profession. It is also important to remember in the end we will all benefit by better trained and more knowledgeable future business leaders capable of embedding sustainability into the heart of organizations.
